After the completion of waterproof treatment, tile laying can be carried out. In order to be durable, we not only need to use good quality materials, but also test our construction specifications and delicacy.
Let's start - tiling
1. Preparation procedure: collocate glue
★ first add the water into the mixing container, then pour in the tile glue, use the electric mixer to mix, mix for about 3 minutes to form a uniform paste without caking, then leave it for 3-5 minutes, wait for it to mature, and then mix for the second time. After achieving the effect of slow sliding, it has reached the usable state;
2. scraping tile glue on the wall
★ use a tooth shaped scraper to scrape and apply the ceramic tile mortar to the base course for a thin batch, with a thickness of about 1mm;
★ load the material again, comb the glue into strips with the toothed edge inclined at an angle of 45-60 degrees, and paste the tiles in time (if the glue surface is dry, it is necessary to remove and scratch the glue again);
★ pay attention to the area of batch scraping, not more than 1m2, to prevent skinning;
3. Thin batch of tile adhesive on the back of brick
★ clean the back of the ceramic tile: remove the white release agent and dust on the back of the ceramic tile, so as not to affect the tiling effect
★ for large-scale tiles and deep tiles in the back groove, the tiles can be pasted only after the tiles are scraped and applied with a thin layer of adhesive, and the thickness of the adhesive can be controlled within 4mm (to promote the full contact between tiles and tile adhesive and improve the adhesive force)
4. Tile kneadingand pressing in place
★ knead and press the brick to make it move in place and extrude the extra air between the brick and the tile adhesive
★ for larger or heavier bricks, the rubber hammer can be used for auxiliary operation
5. Installation of cross positioning rubber particles
★ fix the gap between ceramic tiles with cross particles
★ after the tiles are firm and unable to move, clean the tile surface
The two major problems are uncertain. It's useless to be skillful
1. Material mismatch:
★ matching between tile adhesive and tile specification and material - high quality tile adhesive is required for low water absorption tiles
2. Unreasonable construction methods mainly include the following aspects:
★ cement or sand shall be added to tile glue on site;
★ too little water is added to tile glue;
★ add water and mix in the dried mortar for reuse.
