In the past year or two, large plate ceramic tile has become a new favorite of tooling and villa area decoration. But because of the large size of ceramic tile, its laying method is different from that of ordinary ceramic tile. So how to install the large tiles?
Tiling tools:
Strong suction cup, handling bar, construction platform, large plate mobile cart, tooth type spatula, plate vibrator
Tile leveler (base + leveling wedge), cutter, cutting fixer, special adhesive for large plate
(1)before large board paving
1. Use professional tools to move the large plate to the construction position
Use suction cups or carrying rods to carry tiles or use large plate mobile carts with larger area. At least 2 workers are required to carry a large plate of tiles to avoid bumping in the process of carrying.
2. Clean the construction base to ensure dryness
3. According to a certain proportion of mixing tile adhesive, the specific proportion standard can refer to the product packaging instructions of tile adhesive, because the proportion of different brands of tile adhesive is not necessarily the same.
4. Where the tiles are to be laid. Use a toothed spatula evenly. The tile adhesive mixed in proportion will form a toothed layout.
5. Apply adhesive to the back of large tile. When scraping, take the most side of the ceramic tile as the direction. The position of the ceramic tile to be paved and pasted should be scraped in the same direction as the back of the ceramic tile, so as to facilitate the air discharge and avoid problems such as hollowing and cracking.
(2)large plate laying
1. The sticking order of the big board is from the inside out. The fullness of the binder must be ensured to avoid hollowing. The positioner of proper specification shall be used when pasting the large plate to ensure the width of the reserved joint is consistent. Large tiles need strong suction cups to assist the floor.
2. After that, use vibrator, glue roller or rubber plate to beat the tile, so as to compact the adhesive.
3. For leveling treatment, insert the base of the leveler on the four sides of the positioned ceramic tile, and insert the leveling wedge and clamp the leveler after checking the flatness.
(3) after the big board is paved
1. After the large board is paved, the residual tile adhesive shall be cleaned in time, and the surface shall be cleaned and protected.
2. Clean the surface of the large plate and beautify it with joint sealant.
