Thermoplastic Overmolding

Plastic overmolding processmaterial is a general term for various thermoplastic resins reinforced by glass fiber, carbon fiber, aramid fiber, etc., and is called FRTP (Fiber RinforcedThermo Plastics). It is usually the low injection pressure overmolding.

The special properties of thermoplastic composites are as follows:

(1) The density of thermoplastic composite materials with low density and high strength is 11~1.6g/cm3, which is only 1/5~1/7 of that of steel, and 1/3~1/4 lighter than that of thermosetting FRP. It can achieve higher mechanical strength with a smaller unit mass.

(2) High degree of freedom in performance designability the physical properties, chemical properties, and mechanical properties of thermoplastic composites are designed through a reasonable selection of raw material types, proportions, processing methods, fiber content and layup methods.

(3) Thermal properties The general use temperature of plastics is 50~100℃, and it can be increased to above 100℃ after being reinforced with glass fiber.

(4) Chemical corrosion resistance of composite materials is mainly determined by the performance of the matrix material. There are many types of thermoplastic resins, and each resin has its own anti-corrosion characteristics.

(5) Electrical properties Generally, thermal-period composite materials have good dielectric properties, do not reflect radio waves, and have good microwave transmission properties.

(6) The waste material can be recycled, and the thermoplastic composite material can be repeatedly processed and formed, and the waste product and the leftover material can be recycled without causing environmental pollution.

Engineers

We have our own mold workshop with a team of 24 engineers and 20 injection moulders. We maintain and repair molds daily, based on sophisticated preventative maintenance techniques. If the tool breaks, we carry out rapid repairs, while tooling modifications, based on customers’ requests or improvements suggested by our business improvement and engineering teams, can be implemented quickly and efficiently.

Every mold can be tracked through its life on our tooling database, and we have different areas for different size of molds. This data and identify areas the tool work be captured and interrogated.

Materials List

Working with customers who are leaders in their respective industries has allowed us to work with a full spectrum of plastic materials. There are very few injection molded material that Ding Yue Plastics staff haven't worked with. With many plastics compounders in our region, Ding Yue Plastics has participated in the development and testing of a variety of new plastic materials. A: Generally, samples can be sent out within 7davs after the mold has been finished

3. What file format can you accept for my products?

A: We can accept varies format, igs, step, stp, jpg, pdf, dwg, dxf and so on. lf you do not have a prepared CAD file, we can accept a scan of a hand drawn design.

4. If i don't have drawing, how can i get one sample?

A: If you don't have any drawings, you can send us your samples. We will scan it and make 2D and 3D drawing first for getting your confirmation.

5. Q: Can you help with the design?

A: Yes, simply design free, special design need to pay.

6. Q: May i have new sample made with my design for confirmation?

A: Yes. Sample charge means set up charge for production line, little quantity we suggest that straight for production. Large quantity we suggest that sample first, and sample fee can be refund.
