Metal insert plastic injection molding is a kind of insert moulding that pre-fixes the metal insert in the appropriate position in the mold, and then plastic insert molding into the mold. After the mold is opened, the insert is cooled and solidified plastic. Methods of obtaining articles with inserts such as threaded rings, electrodes, etc.

There are two ways to place the insert in the mold during insert injection molding:

1) Manual placement; this will greatly increase the injection molding cycle, suitable for small batch production or products with complex structures.

2) Automatic placement; this is a better choice for mass production, which is beneficial to reduce human error, improve efficiency, shorten injection molding cycle, and improve product reliability.

Step 7	Mass Production	50% as the initial payment for starting to make the mass production based on the mold.

Advantages of insert injection molding:

1) The combination of the easy formability and elasticity of plastic and the rigidity, strength and heat resistance of metal can make complex and exquisite metal-plastic integrated products firmly; reduce the size and weight of the product.

2) Using the combination of plastic insulation and metal conductivity, the formed products can meet the basic functions of electrical products; they can also meet some special requirements, such as magnetic permeability, wear resistance and fastening.

3) Adding metal inserts to plastics can improve the strength of plastic parts.

4) Insert injection molding increases the flexibility of product design and provides new possibilities for the combination of plastic and metal and other parts.

5) Avoid secondary processes such as hot melting, welding and riveting, and have the opportunity to shorten assembly time and cost.

Vertical injection molding machine

Vertical injection molding machine is a mechanical device. Usually consists of injection system, mold clamping system, hydraulic transmission system, electrical control system, lubrication system, heating and cooling system, safety monitoring system, etc.

Horizontal injection molding machine

Horizontal injection molding machine: This is the most common type. The clamping part and the injection part are on the same horizontal centerline, and the mold is opened in the horizontal direction. Its characteristics are the body is short, easy to operate and maintain. The center of gravity of the machine is low, and the installation is relatively stable; after the product is ejected, it can be automatically dropped by gravity, which is easy to achieve fully automatic operation. At present, most injection molding machines on the market use this type.
