Insert Moulding Products

Insert injection molding refers to injecting resin after loading pre-prepared inserts of different materials into the mold, and the molten material is bonded and solidified with the inserts to make an integrated product. It is an insert molding process.

Mold Processing Step

There are two ways to place the insert in the mold during insert injection molding

1) Manual placement; this will greatly increase the injection molding cycle, suitable for small batch production or products with complex structures;
2) Automatic placement; this is a better choice for mass production, which is beneficial to reduce human error, improve efficiency, shorten injection molding cycle and improve product reliability.

Factory Equipment

Horizontal injection molding machine
Horizontal injection molding machine: This is the most common type. The clamping part and the injection part are on the same horizontal centerline, and the mold is opened in the horizontal direction. Its characteristics are: the body is short, easy to operate and maintain; the center of gravity of the machine is low, and the installation is relatively stable; after the product is ejected, it can be automatically dropped by gravity, which is easy to achieve fully automatic operation. At present, most injection molding machines on the market use this type.

Material List

ABS plastic combines the properties of three components, among which acrylonitrile has high hardness and strength, heat resistance and corrosion resistance; butadiene has impact resistance and toughness; styrene has high surface gloss and easy coloring and ease of processing. The characteristics of the above three components make ABS plastic a thermoplastic with good comprehensive properties of "hard quality, toughness, and high rigidity". Adjust the ratio of the three components of ABS, and its performance will also change to meet the requirements of various applications, such as high-resistant ABS, heat-resistant ABS, high-gloss ABS, etc.
