I. don't only focus on product design and neglect mold manufacturing:

Some users in the development of products or new products trial production, often the initial focus on product development and development, ignoring the communication with the mold production unit. After the preliminary determination of the product design scheme, there are three advantages to contact the mold manufacturer in advance:

1, can ensure that the design of the product has a good forming process, not because the parts are difficult to modify the design.

2. The molds can only be prepared for design in advance to prevent careless consideration in a hurry and influence the construction period.

3. To make high-quality molds, only close cooperation between supply and demand can ultimately reduce the cost and shorten the cycle.

 

Two, not only from the price, to consider the quality, cycle, service:

1. There are many types of molds, which can be roughly divided into ten categories. According to the different requirements of parts material, physical and chemical properties, mechanical strength, dimensional accuracy, surface finish, service life, economy, choose different types of mold forming.

2. High-precision molds require the use of high-precision CNC machine tools, and mold materials, forming process has strict requirements, also need to use CAD/CAE/CAM mold technology to design, analysis.

3, some parts due to the molding of special requirements, mold also need to use hot runner, gas-assisted molding, nitrogen cylinder and other advanced technology.

4, the manufacturer should have CNC, electric spark, wire cutting machine tools and CNC copying milling equipment, high precision grinder, high precision three coordinate measuring instrument, computer design and related software.

5, the general large stamping die (such as the automobile cover die) to consider whether the machine tool has a pressing mechanism, or even edge lubricant, multi-station progressive. In addition to the stamping tonnage also consider punching, feeding device, machine tool and die protection device.

6, the above mold manufacturing means and process is not every enterprise has and master. Must understand its processing ability when choosing collaboration manufacturer, see hardware equipment not only, combine management level, processing experience and technical force even.

7, for the same set of molds, different manufacturers sometimes have a big gap in price. You should not pay more than the value of the mold at the same time, should not be less than the cost of the mold. Mold manufacturers, like you, want to make a reasonable profit in their business. Customizing a set of molds at a much lower price can be the start of trouble. Users must start from their own requirements, comprehensive measurement.

 

Three, avoid multi-head collaboration, as far as possible mold production and processing one-stop:

1, with qualified mold (qualified test pieces), not necessarily able to produce a batch of qualified products. This is mainly related to the selection of machine tool, forming process (forming temperature, forming time, etc.) and the technical quality of the operators.
