2.Waterproof and Vapour Pressure Equalization: Completely waterproof, it protects the substrate from moisture penetration. It also equalizes vapour pressure, providing a pathway for excess moisture and vapor to escape from the substrate.
3.Load Resistance and Versatility: Tile coverings installed on it are highly load-resistant. It can be used for both floor and wall applications on a variety of surfaces such as concrete, timber, mortar screeds, etc., and is suitable for use with underfloor heating systems.
4. Material Properties and Ease of Installation: Made from non-rotting material, highly resistant to salts, acids, alkalis, solvents, alcohols, and oils. It has a simple installation process, with tiles often able to be installed immediately after the membrane is set on the substrate using a thin-bed method.
How to use underfloor heating uncoupling ?
1. Prepare substrate: Ensure it's level and load-bearing, like concrete, screeds or timber.
2. Adhesive: Select a proper bonding adhesive , spread it on the substrate with notched trowel.
3. Cut membrane: Cut the 1m-wide uncoupling membrane (from 10m, 20m or 30m rolls) to size.
4. Install membrane: Place it with the fleece side down, embed the fleece into the adhesive using a float or trowel.
5. Tile installation: For some membranes , tiles can be installed immediately. Use the thin-bed method, bonding tiles to the membrane's recesses.
6. Waterproofing: If needed, use recommended sealing adhesive and tape to seal seams and connections.
